As you know, Chief Medical Officers and hospital leaders are challenged with identifying improvement opportunities and disseminating rapid cycle learning throughout the health care delivery system, while at the same time meeting The Joint Commission’s ongoing professional practice evaluation initiative. To respond to these challenges, we have created a new product, MIDAS+ Statit Physician Profile & Review (PPR).
 
The MIDAS+ Statit PPR solution is a Web-based system that allows medical providers easy access to their individual performance dashboards, which contain up-to-the-moment performance data, annual and interim reviews and drill down to patient level data. MIDAS+ Statit PPR automatically updates and displays indicator data from your existing MIDAS+ products, as well as from other data sources outside of MIDAS+, such as financial performance, patient satisfaction data, and other information which is necessary to align medical staff with key strategic objectives across your organization.

Medical Officers who are responsible for review and reappointment of medical providers have secure online access to worklists that identify all pending and incomplete reviews, so that they can manage their reviews from anywhere. Completed reviews can be immediately posted, allowing medical providers to compare their performance with their peer group and against designated targets and alarms. In addition to providing a profile with information pertaining to performance and quality metrics, MIDAS+ Statit PPR provides aggregated trend information for each indicator in the profile with The Joint Commission rule set that identifies statistically relevant changes in process trends. From the trend output, the physician can "click" to drill down to summarized patient records that comprise the data point and, ultimately, to the individual patient record. In this way, physicians can be confident that the data analyzing their performance is valid. Additionally, the encounter-level data provides a backdrop to the physician and medical officer with root cause detail, culminating in corrective action plans.

Not only is the feature functionality of this application intuitive, it is highly customizable and integrated to other information sources to support rapid dissemination of information across the organization.
